Job Description

Apurchasing assistantis responsible for negotiating with vendors placing orders for business needs, often under the supervision of thepurchasingmanager. Manypurchasing assistantsare tasked with monitoring product inventory and anticipating needs based on quarterly and annual numbers.

Roles and responsibilities:

To assist the Purchasing Manager with daily tasks

• Identify and Order Parts for Technicians Daily
• Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs
• Researching potential vendors
• Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
• Understanding of warranty processes and procedures
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Data Entry into all work orders
• Receive in parts and receipts
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Daily communication with Dispatch, Technicians and Manager
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills to succeed
• Must be a team player and fast problem-solving skills
