Overview
We're hiring! Kemin is seeking a Research Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform a variety of basic and general laboratory research and clerical tasks determined by the business and/or the scope of the research project/team. Tasks performed assist research teams with directed experiments and field trials. This position also performs tasks in a laboratory setting or other research setting. The ideal candidate will have basic skills such as glassware cleaning and laboratory organization.

Responsibilities
- Support and assist scientific team with various Research and Development projects.
- Perform lab experiments within well-defined guidelines and under direct supervision; operate lab equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Organize and maintain small laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Coordinates maintenance on scientific, laboratory, and instrumentation equipment.
- Exercise laboratory safety practices.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma with 0-2 years of related experience OR
- Associates Degree in a science related field
- Must be highly motivated, reliable and self-sufficient.
- Attention to detail and awareness of safety.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
