We are now looking for a Sr. Manager, Process Safety and Risk Management for our EHSQ Global Operations (Americas-based)
Ensuring Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management Excellence Across Kemira
In this role you will be responsible for :
Aligning regional operations, supporting process safety initiatives, and ensuring corporate and industry standards compliance. As a key member of the Safety and Manufacturing Excellence team, you will drive the development and oversight of risk management tools and processes, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to foster a strong Safety culture across the organization.
- Legislative Compliance : Monitor and interpret legislation in process safety and related areas, ensuring alignment with site practices and organizational standards.
- Process Safety Leadership : Develop and implement Kemira-level process safety and risk management requirements based on regional legislation, corporate policies, and industry best practices.
- Permit Compliance : Ensure operational sites meet their permit requirements and adhere to established regulatory frameworks.
- Risk Management Tools : Develop, support, and review Safety risk assessment tools and processes, driving effective implementation at production sites.
- Intermediate Storage Oversight : Assess intermediate storage facilities and establish Kemira-specific requirements aligned with legal standards and best practices.
- Project Support : Provide expertise on process safety aspects for capital projects and operational initiatives.
- Global Collaboration : Serve as a backup to the APAC and EMEA region, offering support and expertise as needed.
- Improvement Programs) : Drive the implementation and regional follow-up of improvement programs such as Life-saving rules, Safety walks, and BBS program to enhance safety culture.
- Auditing and Advisory : Conduct audits to ensure compliance across all EHSQ elements, offering guidance and support for generic Safety inquiries.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for Safety principles, influence decision-making, and foster a safety-first mindset.
