Job Title:        Development Coordinator

Position Summary


The primary responsibilities of the Development Coordinator are: digital and technical donor stewardship; and supporting the Chief Development Officer with all fundraising initiatives.



Major Responsibilities


Membership 

·      Serve as primary point of contact for members; provide a positive membership experience

·      Coordinate membership renewal list and upgrade mailings upon request


Gift Processing

·      Manage the timely and accurate processing of donations as required

  • Process and record gift acknowledgement correspondence
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliation with Finance Department
  • Generate on-request revenue reports


Database Management

·      Continually update and correct database records

·      Update queries for gift acknowledgments, daily finance reports and membership acknowledgments

·      Generate queries, reports, and lists

·      Database administration, including manage system upgrades, maintenance of data policies and procedures


Department Administration

·      Assist in the efficient operations of the advancement department

  • Execute sponsorship correspondence, reports, guest lists, registration, and other duties as assigned for fundraising events and activities

·      Recruit and supervise volunteers for development activities

·      Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

·      Bachelor’s degree preferred

·      Proficiency in database administration with a minimum of 2 years’ experience

·      3 years’ experience in a not-for-profit development office preferred

·      Experience in graphic design and Adobe Suite preferred

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Mac environment

·      Must successfully complete a criminal background check

·      Physical Requirements:

§ Hear: The ability to perceive the nature of sounds by ear.

o  Vision: The ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less. The ability to identify and distinguish colors. The ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This is required when doing close work at varying distances from the eye.

§ Finger Dexterity: The ability to type, pick, pinch, or otherwise work primarily with fingers, rather than with the whole hand or arm.

§ Talk: The ability to express or exchange ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly by means of the spoken word, imparting information or detailed instructions to clients, to the public, or to other workers.

Salary : $51,000 - $55,000
