*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for ensuring that clients and patients receive excellent care at every visit.
As a Veterinary Assistant you will:
- Assist veterinarians in appointments and treatments
- Perform technical duties such as proper restraint, radiographic positioning, and fill medications
- Provide client education in pet care
- Communicate medical treatment plans
- Perform labratory tests
Who We’re Looking For a Team Member
Caring, compassionate individuals with:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Be able to handle a high paced environment and be a successful multitasker
- Possess a high level of interest in customer service and the ability to communicate with clients and fellow team members not just pets
- The ability to meet the physical demands of working a shift standing, squatting, walking, lifting and carrying 40 lbs unassisted
- The ability to work around substances such as animal saliva, blood, urine, fecal material, vomit, etc.
- Comfortable and able to work with all breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs and cats
- Willingness to learn and grow with our company
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
