Press Brake Setup/Operator

Job Summary
Our company is under new management and we are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded fabrication experience and be flexible to work in various departments to support production needs.

Duties

· Set up press brake for operation by selecting the appropriate tooling, installing dies, and making necessary adjustments

· Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances

· Operate press brake to manufacture parts to support production schedule and meet productivity and quality goals

· Perform varied fabrication operations such as countersinking, tapping, etc

· Inspect tooling for damage and wear

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Minimize and report safety hazards

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process such as machine malfunctions or irregularities in the bending process

· Collaborate with management to resolve problems

· Maintain accurate records of production output and machine settings

· Contribute to and support continuous improvement

· Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years experience forming complex shapes

· Fabrication experience and technical/vocational training

· Must be able to setup and operate Amada press brakes (4’ and 8’)

· Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/drawings

· Good communication skills

· Collaborative team-player

· High School/GED

Physical Demands

· Ability to regularly lift/move 35 lbs

· Performing the duties of this job requires regularly standing and lifting

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
