Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Front of House (FOH) Team Lead to join our culinary services team. As the FOH Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for residents during the closing shift. This is a hands-on leadership role, supervising and training staff, maintaining service standards, and managing daily operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Pay: Starts at $20 per hour and above, based on years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist FOH staff, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service quality.
- Train new FOH team members, including effective use of the Cubigo system and understanding the point system.
- Conduct audits, provide feedback, and guide staff through performance improvements.
- Ensure FOH areas meet sanitation and infection control standards, complying with organizational policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, holding staff accountable and supporting daily operations.
- Complete daily closing paperwork and ensure all tasks and checklists are followed.
- Oversee grocery orders, ensuring inventory is stocked and available.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with residents, addressing their needs promptly and accurately.
- Participate in required training, including in-service education and Relias courses.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Serve Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role within food service, emphasizing customer service.
- Proven ability to motivate, discipline, and lead a team effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Willingness to obtain TIPS certification within the first 90 days.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and stretch in tight spaces.
- Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable working with industrial cleaning chemicals and in fast-paced environments.
Work Environment:
- Customer-facing, fast-paced setting with occasional high-pressure situations.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as part of the closing team.
