Kendal at Oberlin's Dining Services is currently seeking a part-time, (20hrs/wk) Dining Room Team Leader. Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Team Leader will lead the team to provide excellent person-centered service for each resident, addressing and resolving resident concerns in a timely manner. More specifically, the leader will be responsible for including but not limited to:
- Maintaining a high level of sanitation in the dining room and serving areas;
- Ensuring food temperatures are taken and recorded;
- Implementing pre and post-meal station checks;
- Completing accurate count and meal charge sheet;
- When assigned, copying weekly menus, temperature sheets, and completing menus for Friends Corner weekly production numbers;
- Visiting residents for food preferences;
- Communicating concerns on resident diet, service, and problems to appropriate staff;
Qualifications & Experience:
- Able to work as an integral part of the Dining Services team in a professional manner, maintaining rapport with supervisors, subordinates, Administration and residents;
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor working under pressure;
- Possess a high level of interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication skills;
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends and holidays to assure residents have top quality service and meals every day;
- Able to lift weights up to 25 pounds. Stands and/or walks a minimum of 75% of the day;
- Experience in a healthcare facility highly desirable.
