Kendal at Oberlin's Information Technology Department is currently seeking an experienced IT professional for the newly created full-time position of IT Project Coordinator Support Specialist. The IT Project Coordinator Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating a variety of IT projects from initiation to completion while providing technical support for service desk tickets to support the business teams and residents. This hybrid role ensures smooth operations by managing organizational initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving end-user technical issues. The role requires strong project coordination skills, technical troubleshooting expertise, and exceptional customer service to support the Organization’s mission. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage IT projects across various departments, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones while tracking progress and risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to align projects with business goals.
- Manage project documentation, including requirements, technical specifications, and post-implementation reports.
- Ensure projects comply with security, compliance, and data governance policies.
- Respond to, prioritize, and resolve IT service desk tickets, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues for end-users.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT personnel or vendors as needed.
- Promote IT best practices around Cyber Security and be a resource of cross training the User Community.
- Assist with user onboarding, including account setup, access control, and training.
- Provide technical support for A.V. equipment throughout the Organization, including the Heiser Auditorium and any space that requires A.V.
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand A.V. requirements and provide necessary support.
- Cross train business support teams and key residents on the A.V. equipment to foster a spirit of community support with this shared technology.
- Provide back up support with the administration of IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and cloud-based applications at the direction of The Kendal Corporation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in project coordination and service desk support roles. Project management experience a plus.
- Project Management Professional (CAPM or PMP), ITIL 4 – Service Management, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow, Halo, ConnectWise, or ManageEngine.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or Life Plan Community environments is a plus.
