This role is responsible for supporting the go-to-market process in close partnership with the Senior Manager and Director. The Associate Brand Manager will help drive both core and new business by identifying gaps in product assortment, implementing product strategy, storytelling with product messaging, and supporting new asset creation for the brand. This role requires an experienced self-starter who is creative, passionate about beauty and products, and has a strong consumer-focused mindset. Additionally, the Associate Brand Manager is responsible for maintaining and building strong brand relationships with cross-functional partners, requiring strong leadership, communication, creativity, and analytical skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDrive category growthGlobal Brand Management & Brand AdvocacyGlobal Product Pipeline, Product Calendar and Product AssortmentGlobal Product BriefsProduct Messaging & Content DirectionDay to Day Business ManagementProtect Product Margin for every launchGlobal Brand Management & Brand AdvocacyPartner with Senior Manager and Senior Director to support category growth by maintaining strong "merchant mindset" : remain up-to-date on the competitive landscape, consumer trends, visual merchandising best-practices, and social media (i.e. Tik Tok)Assist in the development and implementation of global core strategiesMaintain strong pulse on product performance in-market, identifying "viral moments" and trends that can be leveraged to drive product growthEstablish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with internal partnersAct as brand liaison for internal teams supporting packaging, inventory planning, creative, product development, marketing, education, dotcom and operationsPrepare and support presentations for management meetingsGlobal Product Pipeline, Product Calendar, & Product AssortmentAssist with management of global product calendar and distribution of monthly updatesAssist with product category and develop new product briefs to build global product pipeline, work with cross-functional partners to gather all necessary information to ensure that retail / cost of goods / margin targets / objectives are metWork with Senior Manager & Director to help build global product strategy by leading development of compelling and unique product concepts that fit within franchise positioning, leveraging consumer insights, understanding of gaps in market and portfolioHelp manage cost and margin targets to meet financial objectives of the brandWork closely with North America and International sales, brand management and marketing teams on market needs; serve as global brand advocate to push initiatives forwardReporting & ResearchBe in-tune with the beauty retailer landscape and identify opportunities to further drive the businessAssist Senior Manager & Director with maintaining brand margin, conduct cost of good analysis as neededProvide key initiatives performance and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as neededMake recommendations based on research and sales trendsREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required3-5 years of related business experience, beauty and / or retail experience strongly preferredStrong passion for the beauty industry is a MUST!Must have a merchant mindset to help drive projects & storytellingMust demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, and creative skillsMust be an excellent communicator (both in-person & digitally) with strong interpersonal skillsThrives in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and client service-orientedProactive with strong problem-solving skills & a positive attitudeTeam player who can successfully build collaborative relationships and work cross-functionally with product development, packaging, operations, marketing, creative, retail partners, demand planning and supply chainDetail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectivesAbility to own and drive projects and to make good judgement calls under supervision of Senior Brand ManagerHighest level of professionalism at all times; calm under pressureStrong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
