This is a full-time position with rotational on-call based in Augusta. Working hours are between 8 am - 5 pm.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will perform clerical and technical tasks in the processing, preparation, delivery, procurement, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and processing of prescriptions; ensuring all packaging of medications is verified by the pharmacist.
- Receiving and storing incoming medications/supplies, counting stock entering data into the computer to maintain inventory records, and removing outdated stock from shelves.
- Entering patient and prescription data into the computer, operates TCGRx equipment to package patient prescriptions; fills punch cards as needed, checks, labels, and packs orders.
- Ensuring finalized product is bagged for shipment and placed in the appropriate delivery route location.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a Maine Pharmacy Technician registration.
