What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Kennebec Valley Dental Coalition?
Our non-profit dental office wants to add a Dental Assistant to our team. The ideal person for the job would be CDA-certified, radiology-certified, dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable/flexible, people-oriented, and able to collaborate with our team and work independently with little direction.
Our office is open Monday- Thursday, 7:30a-4:30p
Duties would be but not limited to:
- Clean, patient rooms for patients in line with OSHA best practices.
- Handle and sterilize instruments and materials for all procedures.
- Prepare the patient for restorative procedures, extractions, dentures, or crowns.
- Chair-side assisting
- Taking X-rays
- Updating patient records
- Taking impressions
- Seat patients, and walk patients out.
- Monitor or supply and inventory levels, and report needed supplies for ordering.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with front office staff to assist with other administrative needs.
- Report to the Lead Dental Assistant and Clinical Director.
- Light janitorial duties will be required.
Full-time 32 /- hours per week with accruing earned time, paid holidays, medical insurance, dental benefits, vision coverage, short & long disability, Term Life and opportunities for advancement with paid training.
Pay is based on experience.
