Scope of Work
The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, budget planning, forecasting and analysis throughout the organization. Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the incumbent will support the bank’s financial reporting and budgeting to ensure compliance within generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). In addition, the Financial Analyst will provide assistance and backup for the Bank’s Asset/Liability management program.
Essential Functions (3)
Responsible or provides back-up for, the preparation and timely reporting of internal and external financial reporting
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting by developing and maintaining effective procedural, financial and system controls.
Provides financial management with recommendations on process efficiencies and improvement.
Maintains strong knowledge of changes in reporting requirements through ongoing research and education.
Responsible or provides back-up for, the preparation and reporting of the Bank’s budget and forecasting process
Works with managers from across the organization to gather information for budget input.
Considered subject matter expert and administrator of the organization’s corporate performance management (CPM) software.
Responsible for developing and maintaining various financial analysis models for the Bank
Models may include Business and Customer Profitability and other ad hoc analysis.
Will be expected to produce actionable insight to management through analysis of large sets of financial data.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles , preferably in banking
Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, strong understanding of Excel
Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
Prior knowledge of regulations within the financial services industry is preferred
Ability to adapt to change
Desired Job Experience
3 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting or related field
Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment
Desired Education
High school or General Education Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
