Job Description:
Kennedy Collins Masonry is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to support our construction project management team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining smooth operations by bridging communication between field and office staff. This person will ensure documentation, ordering, coordination, and communication are running smoothly throughout the life of each project.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit project submittals in a timely and organized manner
- Maintain email organization, respond to incoming inquiries, and flag time-sensitive messages
- Write and format bids and change orders using official templates
- Assist with material ordering and follow up on deliveries
- Obtain and track quotes from vendors and suppliers
- Organize digital files on the shared drive for easy access by the team
- Keep our project management tool Field Flo updated with the latest information
- Track project progress and assist with scheduling and coordination
- Support foremen and project manager with document prep and field needs
- Help monitor estimated vs. actual costs
- Maintain project logs, RFIs, and change documentation
- Communicate with general contractors on behalf of the project manager when needed
- Assist with additional administrative duties to support project manager
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, shared drives, and project management platforms
- Experience with Field Flo is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of construction terminology and processes is helpful, but not required
- Prior experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and stay on top of deadlines
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
