What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Procurement Specialist position at Kennedy Services?
Overview: The individual selected for this role will assist on the Key Bridge Rebuild Project in executing contracts from start to finish for assigned scope of work. Will be expected to lead discussions advancing the procurement process while vetting discrepancies and issues to ensure materials and services are delivered on schedule, in compliance with the client’s specifications and expectations, and in alignment with Kiewit contracting processes.
Responsibilities: • Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) that align with project specific requirements. • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history. • Serve as a liaison between the project team, vendor, and legal to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
Qualifications: • Supply chain experience working with the RFP/Bid process, contract development/negotiation and execution. • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills. • Ability to: o Learn company specific applications and procedures o Remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements o Multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues o Work independently o Effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment • Strong work ethic that can work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team with the ability to build strong relationships.

Salary : $70,000 - $92,000
