What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Coverage Attorney position at Kennedys?
Kennedys, a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global law firm serving insurers in the U.S., London, Bermuda, and around the world, is seeking motivated and dynamic attorneys to join its national and international insurance coverage practice. The position is based in Chicago, but our culture fosters global collaboration daily.
Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant coverage experience, including a strong litigation background, experience analyzing coverage issues, drafting coverage opinions , pleadings, and dispositive motions, and conducting discovery in insurance coverage litigation . Experience with tasks such as taking and defending depositions , attending court conferences, or arguing motions is helpful, but not required.

Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in Illinois . Admission in Indiana is a plus.
Competitive salary , annual performance-based raises, discretionary bonus, and benefits package offered. 1920 hour requirement . Will consider hybrid work arrangements .
Attorney compensation ranges from $125,000 to $220,000 annually . Salary is contingent upon level of experience, practice group, location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
