A respected and growing defense firm in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its collaborative and highly skilled team. The firm represents insurers, businesses, and professionals across a broad range of complex litigation and coverage matters.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze insurance policies and prepare coverage opinions for insurers
- Draft position letters and handle coverage litigation from inception through resolution
- Represent insurers in declaratory judgment actions and bad faith litigation
- Collaborate with litigation teams on complex coverage issues across multiple practice areas
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois bar license in good standing
- 3–7 years of insurance coverage experience preferred
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with coverage issues in CGL, E&O, D&O, and other specialty lines a plus
