What are the daily duties of a Collision Estimator?
- Welcoming customers and discussing repair options.
- Identifying repair needs based on customer information, examining vehicles, conducting inspections, and test driving.
- Informing clients of the realistic obsticals of collision repair to set a realistic expectation of all repairs, and maintian expectations through any breakdowns
- Requesting sales on all repair estimates.
- Meeting or surpassing sales targets and maintaining a satisfactory customer satisfaction rating.
- Understanding the basics of collision repair and insurance programs, such as DRP and non-DRP.
- Creating repair orders for customers, including cost and time estimates, with complete transparency.
- Maintaining regular communication with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work.
- Providing updates to customers on their vehicle's status as per their preferences and addressing customer inquiries.
- Managing multiple repair jobs simultaneously.
- Collaborating with fellow associates in daily planning and release meetings.
- Managing transactions while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Following up with customers to confirm their expectations have been met.
- Establishing rapport with customers to generate referrals.
- Gaining extensive knowledge of the products to assist customers effectively.
- Ensuring all administrative processes are completed promptly and in adherence to company policies.
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.
What are the prerequisites for becoming a Collision Estimator?
- Proven ability to provide an outstanding customer experience.
- Capability to set and accomplish specific objectives.
- A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
- Previous sales or retail experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, consultation, interpersonal interactions, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with and willingness to work with technology.
- Possession of a valid, in-state driver's license with a safe driving record, meeting acceptable standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
