Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. You will assist in curriculum development, classroom management, and provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum - Assist in creating engaging lesson plans that promote child development - Support students with autism by implementing individualized strategies and accommodations - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth - Assist with classroom management, including maintaining discipline and promoting positive behavior - Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students as needed - Monitor student progress and communicate with parents or guardians about their child's development - Utilize effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders - Incorporate math concepts into daily activities and lessons to promote numeracy skills - Follow Montessori principles and methodologies in teaching and classroom management Requirements: - Previous experience working with students, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting - Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices - Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation - Strong classroom management skills to create a structured learning environment - Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues - Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable - A passion for education and a commitment to fostering the growth of young learners We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
