What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Concrete Worker (Temporary Carpenter) position at Kennewick Irrigation District?
The Temporary Carpenter directly supports the Operations Foremen with District building maintenance and construction activities in one of more of the following specific areas as directed: cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications, construct form boards in preparation for concrete, and demolish and disassemble existing structures, construction and reassembly of structures. Duties of this position include, in part: General understanding and ability to read blueprints and sketches; assisting with measurements and calculations to determine materials needed; ability to work with lumber and other materials according to plans; ability to frame walls, doors, buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items; and assist with the installation of concrete forms, pouring and finishing concrete.
Requirements: Proven experience as a carpenter; High School Diploma or equivalent; Washington State Personal Driver License with acceptable driving record.
