Essential Duties Include The Following:
- Must comply with all company safety policies at all times
- Oversee projects within the $5M to $7M range, ensuring profitability by implementing robust cost control measures, monitoring budgets, and managing expenditures effectively.
- Responsible for thorough understanding and execution of project scope, financials, installation, and all project management.
- Competent at using Accubid: Efficient estimation with takeoffs, can modify estimates and breakdowns easily.
- Prepare, present, and track project financials: WIPs, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and other necessary documentation.
- Completes required subordinate evaluations and provides timely and appropriate feedback
- Directly oversees assigned projects of any size from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Ensures delivery of equipment, materials, tools, and field staff are scheduled to meet project deadlines
- Plans and schedules resources with the Superintendent to meet project expectations
- Provides direction to field staff in terms of task management
- Evaluates project costs, ensuring the project remains on/under budget, update monthly
- Prepares, presents, and tracks Change Orders, Purchase Orders and other necessary documentation
- Assists in billing and collections process with Customer as needed
- Processes and maintains proper written documents needed for projects
- Acts as a liaison between architects, contractors, and owners, etc.
- Conducts site visits regularly, as required
- Actively develop and identify opportunities and assist in marketing
- Contract review and management
- Pre-con support (including but not limited to: bid review, spec review, interview, quotation review, etc..)
- Subcontractor management
- Responsible for compliance with all Kenny SOP’s, including the P.M. SOP
- Account management
- Project closeout
- Other duties as assigned
- Degree in Electrical Engineering/Construction Mgmt./Architectural & Construction Eng Mgmt (Construction, Service) or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 6-10 Years of progress experience for a commercial/industrial electrical contractor
- Ability to attain a CO State Master’s license is highly preferred; Journeyman’s license is required
- Ability to understand electrical codes and standards (Electrical)
- Ability to understand construction means and methods
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints
- Proficient in various computerized estimating systems and all Office Applications (Accubid preferred)
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize multiple projects
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to exercise attention to detail
- Possesses strong organizational capabilities
- Strong accounting skills and financial aptitude
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
- Ability to maintain rapport with customers, employees, etc.
- Able to move on feet
- Climbing ladders
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, balance
- Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics
- Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas
- Must be able to get to various customer sites as required.
- Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.
