Role Description
The is a full-time on-site role that provides financial leadership and support to the Controller. This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing internal controls and providing analytical support to management.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
· Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
· Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.
· Review and reconcile key accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
· Prepare cash forecasts and update cash and debt position on a continuous basis.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
· Support Controller in maintaining and improving internal control systems to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
· Oversee and monitor preparation and timely filing of tax returns, including sales tax, income tax and other regulatory filings. Stay apprised of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
· Provide financial analysis and support for business decision making processes. Assist in the evaluation of financial performance and contribute to strategic planning initiatives. Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control expenses.
· Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accounting and finance.
· Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate a vision, educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions.
· Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the data processed.
· Proficiency in accounting software and advance excel skills.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of integrity and attention to detail.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
· Completion of the CMA, CPA, or MBA program is preferred.
· Proven experience/understanding of a manufacturing company, including working knowledge of operations controlling systems, cost estimating systems, financial measurement and evaluation techniques and product pricing/market strategies.
· Experience in departmental administration and supervision of other employees.
