This is not a State of Delaware merit position. It is a contractual position with the opportunity to work long term.
The Kent Conservation District, a governmental subdivision of the State of Delaware, is seeking applicants for a
Fiscal Associate II position for contractual services with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and
Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy.
JOB DUTIES:
The Fiscal Associate II position provides paraprofessional fiscal and general office support for the State's financial
operations such as recording, reviewing, and processing financial transactions, records, and documents in support of the
State's financial operations. The Fiscal Associate II is also responsible for verifying codes and other information,
classifying, calculating, computing, recording, posting, reconciling, summarizing, and reporting on financial data.
Additionally, the Fiscal Associate II will be entering, updating, modifying, deleting, retrieving, and reporting on data in
automated information systems and computer software, and gathering information for higher-level staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Six months' experience in processing accounting, auditing or payroll transactions following applicable laws rules,
regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Six months' experience in determining compliance of financial transactions with required documentation,
computations, codes, signatures, rules, or regulations.
3. Six months' experience in preparing financial reports such as combining and presenting financial data from
multiple sources in an organized format.
4. Possession of an associate degree or higher in accounting or related field.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Kent Conservation District does not
provide sponsorship for holders of H1-B Visas.
2. Direct Deposit of paychecks is required of all new employees.
