What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parks Worker III - Clubhouse position at Kent County?
A seasonal opportunity exists in golf course clubhouse operations for a motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills and a comprehensive knowledge of golf. The successful candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day sales of golf merchandise, food and beverages; balance register receipts and prepare bank deposits. Other duties include taking reservations and responding to inquiries; and facility maintenance. As a lead worker, will serve as a liaison with the management team; and train general seasonal staff and oversee work assignments. Must be able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.
High School graduate or equivalent combined with two years of customer service experience. This seasonal opportunity requires computer proficiency, exceptional customer service and communication skills and the ability to interact positively with employees, patrons and the general public from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Must have strong leadership ability and promote a team atmosphere. Good organizational and bookkeeping skills, sound judgment and the ability to work independently are essential. Prior supervisory experience and work in a retail and/or restaurant setting is strongly preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to obtain ServSafe certification within 60 days of employment.
