Position : Director of Finance
Location : Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Pay : $60 to $70 per hour
Experience : 10 years of law firm finance and accounting experience to cover a 3–4-month temporary assignment to support a midsized legal accounting department with two California offices.

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm

Job Description :
Supervise / manage accounting staff.
Manage and oversee all firm bank accounts.
Oversee accuracy of client intake information, including conflicts and rates.
Perform monthly financial closing / reconciliation.
Prepare financial statements and reports for the partners.
Regular meetings with partners regarding client receivables.
Cost control, oversee and verify invoices for accuracy.
Oversee / approve monthly firm expenses.
Review / process all incoming payments (checks and ACH).
Process payroll expenses and taxes.
Oversee firm 401(k) account and handle attorney State Bar due.
Communicate with clients regarding billing / vendor issues.
Handle all insurance renewals Malpractice, EPLI, Workers Compensation, Cyber, Employee Benefits).
Manage / maintain relationships with bankers, accountants, vendors, auditors and tax authorities.
Position Requirements :
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Must be detail-oriented.
Strong analytical and communications skills.
Background knowledge of accounting software is required and familiarity with all eBilling portals (Legal Exchange-Bottomline, CounselLink, Legal X, TyMetrix) is required.
