Position : Docket Clerk
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Pay : $62,000 to $67,000 annually
Experience : 2 years of experience in litigation docketing role to provide in-depth expertise in docketing, court rules, procedures, litigation proceedings, and case trial activity.
Education : High school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Type : Full-time; Temp-to-Hire / Direct Hire
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm (OT as needed on evenings and weekends)

Job Description :
Responsible for client intake (opening new matters, processing conflict checks) and advising staff / attorneys on calendar procedures.
Receiving and processing new case filings, (reviewing documents for completeness / accuracy).
Monitoring / maintaining office-specific inboxes for receipt and processing of docketing requests.
Entering case information into electronic docket system, (parties involved, filing dates, deadlines, and court appearances).
Ensuring litigation docketing and calendaring procedures are followed.
Assigning court dates for hearings, trials, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
Scheduling / leading weekly calendar meetings including regular monitoring / notifying attorneys of upcoming deadlines, (discovery requests, motions, brief filings).
Responding to inquiries regarding case status and procedures.
Other duties include generating reports on case statistics.
Participating in docketing training to ensure adherence to court rules and procedures regarding case management.
Position Requirements :
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask / manage priorities in fast paced department and be highly organized.
Ability to collaborate with other departments and be customer service oriented.
Technology savvy and able to learn new systems.
Experience with Abacus and ProLaw preferred.
