Summary of the Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Wedding and Banquet/Event Manager to join our team. As a Banquet/Event Manager, you will work closely with clients to organize and execute memorable weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Event Quality & Guest Delight:
● Possess exceptional attention to detail and an eye for design.
● Takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner and ensures all needs are met. Observes guests to fulfill any additional requests.
● Assigns event day duties to FOH team and leads steps of service; ensures all FOH team members are ready for service.
● Staffing the events according to company ratios.
● Interview, select, and evaluate the performance of all captains, servers, bartenders and setup crew.
● Training staff to provide an excellent level of client service.
● Ensuring staff are well groomed and adhere to the company dress code.
● Executing the BEO including room setup and breakdown.
● Visually inspect function rooms and equipment prior to the event for cleanliness and accurate setup.
● Oversee the clearing and cleaning of venues; returning, cleaning and restocking of equipment.
● Maintain smallwares and event equipment inventory to give ample time for reordering needs.
● Attend and actively participate in the weekly BEO meeting to discuss and catch any potential issues two weeks prior to the event
● Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budget.
● Event Planning: Plan, design, and manage weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions from conception to execution.
● Vendor Coordination: Source and negotiate with vendors (such as florists, caterers, photographers, etc.) to ensure services align with client expectations and budget constraints.
● Venue Selection: Assist clients in choosing suitable venues and coordinate site visits.
● Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
● Timeline Management: Create and maintain event timelines, ensuring all tasks and milestones are completed on schedule.
● Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics including transportation, accommodation, guest seating, and decor setup.
● Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during planning and execution, providing effective solutions.
● Event Day Management: Provide on-site coordination and management during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to plan.
● Post-Event Follow-Up: Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and assess overall satisfaction..
