Summary
The Project Coordinator is an integral member of a project management team, responsible for providing administrative support to Kent Power’s Project Managers throughout the project life cycle. In this role, you will work with the Project Manager(s) to coordinate and accomplish necessary project tasks and requirements.

- Assist in project start-up packets and processes as assigned by Project Manager (PM). Provide completed field packets along with printed drawings to General Foreman (GF)
- Data entry and management into various systems
- Research and obtain all required data for successful 811 locate and permit submissions
- Prepare, submit, and track all required 811 locate and permit applications and documents for multiple projects concurrently
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant 811 locate requirements across Michigan, Indiana and potentially Ohio
- Create, manage, and distribute documentation and correspondence to internal project team related to 811 locate request submission and progress tracking
- Attend construction coordination meetings
- Support GF and PM in securing rental equipment along with the call-on and call-off of equipment to ensure proper billing.
- Submit purchase order requisitions to Purchasing department during project start-up phase and as needed throughout the project life cycle.
- Assist PM with field-team-member tasks including authenticating timecards as needed, clearing members through local unions, and providing monthly crew reports to payroll department.
- Assist PM with T&E and Unit based billing compilation and reporting
- Assist PM in project closeout process
- Openly communicate with PM, alerting them of situations that require attention as well as maintain open lines of communication with the project team and may act as a back-up to the PM.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Field experience/degree equivalent
- Project management, estimating, scheduling software
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and multi-function printers. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift equipment, climb a ladder, and operate small hand tools, as necessary.
