CLASS SUMMARY: |
Under general direction of the Vice President of Business Administration, the Airport Manager is responsible for the growth, development and general oversight of the Miami University Airport (OXD). The manager carries out these duties in accordance with the lease and operations agreement between the Kenton County Airport Board (KCAB) and the Airport Sponsor, Miami University (“MU” or “Sponsor”). The manager is responsible for 24/7 decision making and crisis management. The Airport Executive Team will rely on this person to make decisions and give direction regarding OXD operations, growth and development. The manager also serves as the coordinator of the ad hoc greater Cincinnati general aviation manager collaborative and is responsible for growing, organizing and leading the collaborative. |

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field to the area of assignment and five years of management experience in airport or airlines operations, or other related airport or economic development related field. Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory capacity; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. |

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Heavy Work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
