Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interviews Clients/Applicants for Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (Ktap) and Related Pro- Grams Directed Toward Family Self-Sufficiency, Including Eligibility Determination.
- Maintain Contact with Each Participant to Monitor and Evaluate Effectiveness of Progress Toward Goals.
- Schedule and Conduct Needs Assessment Based on Participant History and Current Situations and Learns to Screen for Risk Factors and Barriers.
- Solicit Information and Develop Participants Transitional Assistance Plans for Families Based on Their Needs and Capabilities.
- Respond to Participant/Provider Questions Regarding Policy and Procedure.
- Refer and/or Direct Job Ready Participants to Other Agencies Specializing in Placement Activities.
- Authorize or Otherwise Arrange with Participants for Supportive Services during Kentucky Works Participation. (Kwp).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in social work, counseling, providing direct services to individuals and/or families (i.e., employment services, community action agencies) or experience in reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for, and/or administering Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program, Medical Assistance, Child Support, or other public assistance programs will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year for year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Performs duties in an office setting and will occasionally visit clients in their home.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
