What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kentucky Kingdom Guest Services Operation Manager position at Kentucky Kingdom?
- Oversee daily operation of departmental tasks and assignments including general cleanliness of ticketing areas, ticket and season pass sales, admissions, resolving guest concerns, lost and found, proper guest communication, and follow up on guest issues or operational concerns.
- Provide operational leadership as requested by the Attractions Director
- Work with the IT Department to execute marketing directives for ticket and season pass promotions.
- Review and distribute Verbal Comment Log and Guest Comment Forms to "Guest Comments" group daily.
- Notify appropriate department management of guest comments.
- Ensure all Guest Comment Forms receive a reply within 48 hours (notify guest if response will take longer).
- Develop and implement initial and ongoing department training programs.
- Assist in the development of staff to meet the highest standards of job performance.
- Assist in application review, interviewing, and hiring process.
- Coordinate all cleaning projects, ordering and maintenance of supplies, and other departmental projects.
- Ensure timely and proper completion and filing of all necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Monitor equipment, supplies, and storage areas, including maintenance and inventory (e.g., keys, radios, cleaning supplies, season pass cards, etc.).
- Follow and enforce all park policies and safety procedures.
- Identify and address departmental issues. Notify and work with appropriate personnel or departments, as necessary.
- Facilitate departmental and job function-specific training.
- Promote guest satisfaction through guest interaction, host efficiency, and area cleanliness.
- Ensure adequate staffing at all times.
- Mentor hosts as needed.
- Complete seasonal labor schedules efficiently with a minimum of one (1) week of lead time.
- Maintain established budget, labor, and staffing standards.
- Promote ongoing development of leadership staff and hosts:
- Must have the knowledge, training and skills required of all direct reports.
- Flexible availability, with the ability to work nights, weekends, some holidays, and 40 hours per week during daily operation.
- Complete knowledge of departmental and park-wide policies and procedures.
