What You Will Do
The Distribution Operations Intern is responsible for publishing reports, resolving operational
issues, and supporting/leading projects within the Distribution space that will drive improvement to process and metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Owner and publication of daily/weekly reports in support of proactive issue resolution for our network of Distribution Centers. Automation through use of Excel VBA or power BI is also supported where opportunities are identified within each report
- Support daily Deliver Control Tower between Customer Logistics, Distribution/3PL and Transportation Teams
- Support of performance management data compilation
- Daily operational support to resolve real-time issues at each Distribution Center through collaboration with internal/external partners and interfacing systems (SAP, Warehouse Management System)
- Identify and implement automated solutions in an effort to streamline manual activities across the team and department
- Ad hoc project leadership and support for both internal department and cross-functional initiatives
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Be at least a sophomore at the time of the application
- Ability to commit to work full time (40 hours per week) during the duration of the assignment. The program will be active from Monday-Friday from May-2025 to August-2025
- Proficient in Windows software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Being driven by innovation and process improvement
- Exhibits strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
- A minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA based on a 4.0 scale is strongly preferred
- ERP systems or WMS experience
- Project management skills
