Kenwood Dental is seeking a full-time Front Office Insurance Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, reliable and consistent, has good communication skills and can complete tasks independently. The Front Office Insurance Coordinator is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, filing insurance claims, claim follow-up, understanding insurance explanation of benefits and payment posting. This position also includes patient scheduling, answering phones, greeting patients in the office, consulting with patients on treatment options with financial arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Enter insurance information, check eligibility and be able to answer patient questions related to insurance benefits and treatment cost.
- Submit insurance claims and prior authorizations to insurance companies, as well as follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Comfortable with handling multiple insurance plans and explanation of benefits.
- Collect and post payments from patients and insurance companies.
- Check in patients when they arrive and monitor the schedule throughout the day.
- Schedule treatment and make financial arrangements with patients.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dental insurance and benefits.
- Time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Organized and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous dental office experience (2 years) required and prior experience with Dentrix software preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
