Assistant Corporate Controller Job Summary
The Assistant Corporate Controller primarily supports the Corporate Controller by managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing internal controls, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis, effectively acting as a key player in the company's financial reporting process
Assistant Corporate Controller Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizes and supervises dealership accounting policies, procedures and standards.
- Assists management with the development of financial objectives for the branch as a whole and for each profit and cost center.
- Assists management in analyzing such financial standards, and recommends corrective action, when applicable. (e.g. trend analysis, forecasts, budgets, industry standards).
- Oversees the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
- Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
- Supervises accounting staff, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Collaborates with external auditors to facilitate the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implements and maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensures financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Working Conditions
This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, filing, and key entry on a Video Display Terminal. Extensive telephone and correspondence work required daily. For part of the shift, s/he will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. May be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
