Polymer Synthesis and Characterization Postdoctoral Position

Job Description
Kenyon College is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to join its chemistry department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in synthesis and characterization of polymers and a commitment to undergraduate education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on polymer synthesis and degradation.
• Compile, analyze, and synthesize data from experiments.
• Disseminate results through presentations and scientific publications.

The postdoctoral fellow will also collaborate with faculty members on undergraduate teaching and student mentoring, developing the skills necessary to succeed in a tenure-track position at a primarily undergraduate institution (PUI).

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with air-free techniques and a strong background in synthesis and characterization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as prior research experience and publications.
