Position: Bookkeeper
Kenyon Disend is looking for a full-time, skilled bookkeeper to join our dynamic team of attorneys and paralegals, working in our downtown Issaquah office. As a well-established boutique law firm providing exceptional municipal law services to Washington cities and public agencies, we offer excellent pay and benefits in a fun and casual work environment. The selected candidate will oversee all financial and fiscal aspects of the firm, as well as perform other administrative duties as requested.
The Role:
The selected candidate will principally be responsible for performing all financial and fiscal duties of the firm and supporting our firm's growth and success. Responsibilities include bank account management such as: payment of invoices; Visa reconciliation; serving as payroll liaison and making multi state payments of SUI, LNI, PFML and WACARES; financial reporting; B&O tax preparation; serving as 401(k) and year-end tax accountant liaison; client billables and invoicing; annual reporting of unclaimed property and BOI Financial Crimes reports; petty cash reconciliation; management of IOLTA account; management of vendor contracts; tracking of employee vacation and sick; and answering phones and other general office duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following qualifications: three to five years’ experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within the legal industry; a minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations; proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Clio), MS Office, Adobe, and Excel; exceptional attention to detail and communication skills; experience in a legal office; and administrative or executive assistant experience. We are willing to train an applicant with strong skills in critical areas, but with limited experience in others – if you are willing to learn, we are willing to train!
This position is expected to work in our Issaquah office, Monday through Friday.
