Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods, including banquets and special events.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served.
- Develop cost-effective strategies for food management while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles.
- Demonstrated ability in menu planning and execution for various dining experiences, including banquets.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Experience with inventory control systems and cost management practices is highly desirable.
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory; practical experience is highly valued.
