We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optical Team Member to join our team. As an Optical Team Member, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, develop your skills and expertise, and contribute to the success of our practice.
**Responsibilities**
- Pre-test patients for the doctor, including the administration of diagnostic tests
- Gather patient's medical history
- Answer phone calls, greet patients and schedule appointments
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits
- Obtain insurance authorizations and verification of benefits
- Accurately post charges for exam fees, co-pays, and products sold
- Assist other members of the team as needed
**Requirements**
- Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to do basic math
- Team player with good interpersonal and listening skills
