Description
KerberRose is currently hiring a Accountant/Bookkeeper who will support our small business clients by processing monthly accounting, year-end close procedures, reconciling financial data and will interact with clients regularly.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains customer satisfaction and retention through accurate and efficient customer service
- Interfaces with other peers and superiors to support actions and initiatives which improve client retention.
- Customer interaction – participates in client meetings via phone and in person when necessary. Demonstrates effective business communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to facilitate high service value with clients.
- Strategic thinking – probes, gathers and analyzes client data pertaining to general ledger reporting, related services and day-to-day operations for assigned clients.
- Provides customer-focused interaction with clients via phone, email and in person.
- Communicates effectively and accurately with internal teammates and external clients.
- Performs in-house and on-site bookkeeping for clients
Daily Duties:
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Bookkeeping adjustments and journal entries
- Preparation of year-end Trial Balance
- Review and verify source documents
- Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
- Analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and verification of accuracy to assure reconciliation to supporting documentation
- Preparation of Federal and State filings and payments including sales tax, withholding tax, income tax, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in Public Accounting preferred, but not required
