Job Title: School Bus Operator
We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded School Bus Operator to join our transportation team at the Kerman Unified School District. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport students to and from school, as well as on occasional educational or otherwise authorized trips.
- Conduct daily safety checks on assigned buses to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Educate students on safe behavior while riding the bus, including rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of student ridership, including attendance and disciplinary issues.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other transportation staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to district policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Three years' experience operating a motor vehicle.
- Valid California commercial driver's license.
- First Aid Certificate or Equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
