Job Title: Student Safety Coordinator
The Kerman Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Safety Coordinator to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transportation, while also maintaining a positive and supportive team environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to and from school, as well as on occasional educational or otherwise authorized trips.
- Maintain accurate records of student ridership, including attendance and disciplinary issues.
- Conduct regular safety checks on assigned buses to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Educate students on safe behavior while riding the bus, including rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other transportation staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to district policies and procedures.
