Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Bakersfield, CA for a Fiscal and Policy Analyst with a focus on Economic Development. The Fiscal and Policy Analyst will be responsible for conducting economic research and analysis, preparing reports and presentations, and developing policy recommendations. Daily tasks include budget analysis, financial forecasting, and evaluating economic development initiatives. The analyst will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the effective use of resources and the successful implementation of economic development strategies.
Qualifications
- Economic Research and Analysis, Financial Forecasting, and Budget Analysis skills
- Experience in Policy Development and Evaluation
- Strong Report Writing and Presentation skills
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- High proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Administration, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus
- Experience in economic development or government sector is highly preferred
