What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Support Specialist - Bilingual position at Kern County?
EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:
Qualified candidates will be notified of the testing date five days prior to the examination.
Examination:
Written Exam (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations; basic accounting principles; processes and procedures in assigned area of responsibility; bookkeeping principles; standard office equipment and procedures; data entry techniques; customer service principles; filing techniques, and other relevant topics.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on the examination.
The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written examination.
Minimum Qualifications/ Employment Standards:
Applicants who wish to be considered for bilingual employment must submit a bilingual certificate issued by the Kern County Human Resources Division or its authorized agent, Bakersfield College.
