Job Description:
As an Associate Attorney with KSM, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, collaborate with experienced attorneys including several members of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and build your legal career in a thriving and exciting practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research/analysis to develop successful case strategies in civil litigation matters. KSM also handles a wide range transactional matters such as business formations, general counseling, and trademark applications.
- Draft and review legal documents, including discovery, pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Represent clients in all court proceedings from case inception to appeal.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and fellow members of the firm.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends presenting opportunities and challenges to our clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Focus on law enforcement defense a plus.
Salary Range: $130,000 depending on experience
