Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our management team. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the ongoing financial health of the firm. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in pricing structures, profitability, collections, and bill rates of various departments utilizing industry and historical data.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and partners.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and partners.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and capital structure.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Manages all firm insurance coverages.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to the firm.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and business strategy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience integrating cloud-based software to streamline accounting and reporting functions.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
