About the role
The Production Supervisor will oversee plant manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of Warehousing, Packaging, Maintenance, Powder Plant, and Inventory Management. This role requires strong leadership skills to maintain high standards of productivity and quality.
Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the development of production schedules and recommend equipment repairs, replacements, and purchases.
- Engage in daily Gemba walks to ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead shift change meetings with furnace, dryer, evaporator, and reactor operators.
- Oversee employee training and implement safety programs.
- Monitor daily production to ensure a quality product that meets company and customer objectives.
- Prepare daily production reports and complete downtime reports.
- Monitor sawdust and condensate inventories.
- Schedule daily char shipments.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet production and quality requirements.
- Update employee schedules in Kronos.
- Support the SQF, Food Safety Programs, and Food Quality Programs.
- Execute projects or perform other duties as required by the Division.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience in manufacturing settings.
- Leadership experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, extend arms, and perform elevated work.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime and maintain a flexible schedule.
- PFT and respirator fit test required.
- Ability to work at heights and climb ladders.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $95,074 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
