Responsibilities
- Perform sanitation duties to maintain cleanliness in food processing areas according to company standards.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and surfaces to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of production equipment as needed for cleaning.
- Conduct regular inspections of sanitation practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Support food safety initiatives by following all hygiene protocols during cleaning processes.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize sanitation processes and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required by the job.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning processes are followed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
