POSITION PURPOSE
Keswick Hall and Club is seeking a Summer Sports Camp Counselor to join our team for the upcoming summer season. The Sports Camp Counselor will be responsible for organizing and leading a variety of sports activities and games for children ages 6-14. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for sports, and strong leadership and communication skills
The Summer Sports Camp Counselor position is a seasonal, full-time position from June through mid-end July. The camp operates Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with daily check-in and check-out of campers
- Perform routine administrative work for camp
- Assist with daily sports instruction
- Assist with lunch supervision
- Assist with swimming pool camper supervision
- Assist with daily games administration
- Plan and lead daily sports activities and games for children ages 6-14
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during activities and throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and organized sports equipment storage area
- Develop and implement age-appropriate sports programs and activities that are engaging, safe, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sports programs and activities, and make necessary adjustments to improve the camper experience
- Act as a positive role model for campers by displaying enthusiasm, kindness, and patience at all times
- Provide individualized attention and support to campers as needed, including helping campers improve their skills and providing emotional support when necessary
- Help campers learn and follow camp rules, including safety rules and guidelines for behavior
- Provide regular feedback to campers and their parents / guardians on their progress and achievements
- Collaborate with other camp counselors and staff to ensure that all campers have a positive and inclusive experience at camp
- Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance, maintaining records, and completing incident reports when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
