As an EVS Technician, you will carry out our mission to improve the experience of aging together by performing daily housekeeping services, providing a clean and sanitary environment in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
What will I do as an EVS Technician?
- Cleans resident/patient rooms and common areas. Dusts furniture, lights, vents, cabinets, window sills and blinds. Washes windows and mirrors. Wipes down woodwork, walls and fixtures. Honors additional housekeeping requests made by residents during the allotted time. Reports observed repairs including broken or cracked window panes, leaky faucets, toilets, loose tiles, broken blinds and damaged furniture.
- Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects bathroom fixtures, counters, walls and shower areas according to established procedures. Wipes down all hard surfaces. Cleans facility restrooms.
- Dry mops, sweeps, and wet mops floors. Vacuums carpets when necessary. Cleans emergency spills observed or upon request.
- Collects and removes all trash. Disposes of trash and waste according to established procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of common areas including dining rooms, offices and other facility areas as required. Wipes down dining tables between meals. Cleans any spills.
- Cleans and sanitizes vacant rooms to make them ready for move-in of new resident/patient. Notifies supervisor as soon as room is ready. Cleans areas following repair or maintenance by Building Services.
What is required in this position?
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Requires 6 months experience in a healthcare facility.
