Quality Assurance And Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Conduct inspections and audits of internal processes, external processes, and finished goods to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.
- Establish and maintain product quality standards, specifications, and tolerances.
- Review customer RTV data, consumer reviews data, and internal rejection data to develop inspection plans and corrective actions.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Lead initiatives to reduce defects, improve processes, and optimize efficiency.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement projects, using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
- Work closely with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into all phases of product development, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Communicate quality metrics, reports, and findings to stakeholders and recommend improvements.
- Work with customers on quality-related matters, including complaints and feedback resolution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISTA, or other relevant certifications).
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and certifications.
- Stay updated on emerging regulations, standards, and technologies in the consumer plastic goods industry.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in consumer plastic goods or a related manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, blow molding, extrusion).
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP, DOE).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, REACH).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and software tools.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality assurance tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC charts).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives in plastic goods manufacturing.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain.
